NOOKS & CRANNIES
M Street and Wisconsin Avenue are quintessential attractions, but Georgetown also boasts side streets and hidden plazas at every turn that give the neighborhood a charm unlike any other in the city.
As part of the Georgetown 2028 intiative to implement additional public space projects, the BID purchased 35 bistro tables and over 100 chairs that are located in parks, plazas and outside of small businesses throughout Georgetown. Recently, the BID also began introducing table umbrellas. All of these additions have activated previously underutilized public spaces in the neighborhood to foster a more connected and social community--and make the most of every part of Georgetown.
